The dry ice blast cleaning process, also known as CO2 blast cleaning offers an effective, environmentally-safe and economical way to clean your components.
Micro Dry Ice Blast Cleaning offers several benefits when compared to alternative cleaning methods. Dry ice blasting is non-abrasive; the finish of your parts will not be worn down or weathered looking after cleaning. The process does not create secondary waste; therefore being far more environmentally sound then sand blasting, soda blasting and pressure washing. Dry ice blasting offers a non-toxic alternative when compared to harsh chemical cleansers and agents. Even better the process is EPA, FDA and USDA approved.
How It Works: Our dry ice blast cleaning system utilizes shaved dry ice, compressed air, and nozzles of varying aggressiveness to clean the surface of your components. Dry ice blocks are shaved down to particle form and then blasted via compressed air. The particles of dry ice blast through the applicator nozzle at supersonic speeds and then hit the substrate to be cleaned. As the shaved dry ice particles hit the surface to be cleaned they sublimate – turn from solid CO2 to gaseous CO2. This effectively cleans the surface; removing the customers’ undesirable contaminants.
