These systems are used to remove external burrs and flash from parts through freezing and tumbling. Materials that are excellent candidates for the process include plastics, polymers, nylons, delrin, rubbers, silicones, polyurethane, polypropylene, polycarbonate, neoprene, liquid crystal polymer, urethane, nitrile, butyl, Teflon, Tefzel, Viton, Torlon, PET, HDPE, PPS, CTFE, DAP, ABS, PEEK, aluminum zinc die-cast, PH stainless steels and Beryllium Copper.
